Our Center

A Wellness Center for the Pajaro Valley

In 1998, the Community Health Trust of Pajaro Valley (CHT) opened the Diabetes Health Center in Watsonville to support people living with diabetes. Since then, we’ve continued working alongside patients and families to provide ongoing care and education.

Over time, we’ve seen how closely health is connected to daily life. What we eat, how we move, and the support we have around us.

This fall, our Diabetes Health Center will grow into Centro de Bienestar, a wellness center located at 112 E. Beach Street in downtown Watsonville. While we continue to provide trusted diabetes care, our work has grown over time to support health in many forms, including access to food, wellness programs, and ongoing care.

A Place for Health, Connection, and Support

Centro de Bienestar brings together CHT’s Food, Wellness, and Care programs in one place so it’s easier for you to find support, stay connected, and take care of your health in ways that fit your life.

This is a space for you and your family. A place to learn, build routines, and support each other. Whether you are managing a health condition, looking for healthier habits, or simply wanting to feel better day to day, you can find programs and people here to support you.

Our team, including a Wellness Nurse Practitioner, Registered Dietitians, Diabetes Educators, and Community Health Workers, works alongside you to help you navigate your care, set goals that matter to you, and build habits that last.

Programs That Meet You Where You Are

Get access to fresh food and resources that support your well-being. From community gardens to local markets, these programs are designed to make healthy eating more accessible and part of your everyday life.

Open to everyone, with no referral needed. These programs focus on movement, learning, and everyday wellness, with hands-on experiences like cooking and healthy living to help you build lasting habits.

Receive medical, nutrition, and social support through services designed with you and your family in mind. These programs help you manage your health with guidance that is practical, consistent, and personalized.

Centro de Bienestar will also feature a teaching kitchen for hands-on cooking and nutrition education, where you can learn simple ways to prepare healthy meals, try new foods, and build confidence in the kitchen.

There will also be a shared community space for classes, workshops, and gatherings. It is a place where you can connect with others, learn something new, and feel supported along the way. Whether you come for a class, a program, or just to be in community, you are welcome here.

Part of a Growing Wellness Campus

Centro de Bienestar will be part of a larger Healthy Living and Wellness Campus, bringing more resources into one place for you and your family.

Nearby partners like allcove™ Watsonville and Somos Watsonville offer additional support for mental health, connection, and overall well-being, especially for young people and families.

Together, these spaces make it easier to find care, explore resources, and get support in a way that feels connected and convenient.

Support Available Now, With More to Come

As a community-centered space in Pajaro Valley, Centro de Bienestar will continue to grow alongside the people it serves, shaped by your experiences, your needs, and your goals.

While our physical space is still under construction, many of our programs and services are already available to you now. You can explore what’s offered, join a program, or connect with our team at any time. We look forward to welcoming you in person when our doors open this fall, and to being part of your health journey, wherever you’re starting from.
